As a Job Coach, you will work alongside our lead job coach or operations manager to implement our Inclusion Framework and assistive technology in the document digitization process with our team of employees on the autism spectrum. Your role will involve supporting team members in maintaining high productivity, well-being, and motivation. This is a unique opportunity to reshape autism employment and contribute to the success of an innovative and inclusive team.

As an ESL teacher, instructor or sports coach, you have a unique ability to identify and overcome language and cultural barriers. You know how to inspire and empower your learners to achieve their goals. At Technology North, your skills will be highly valued as you make a meaningful impact on the lives of autistic adults and youth.
Eligibility Requirements:
Post-secondary graduate
Canadian citizen, permanent resident, or person granted refugee status in Canada.
Must pass Edmonton Police Service Enhanced Security Background Check.
Education/Experience:
University degree in TESOL, TESL, English Literature or sport-related
Experience teaching English as a Second Language, both in Canada and internationally, or
Experience in sports coach for youth
Skills and Abilities:
Strong English communication skills, both written and oral
Ability to quickly build rapport with employers, guardians, and candidates, fostering an inclusive workplace
Strong interpersonal skills and a passion for working with individuals of varying abilities
Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook) and data entry
Demonstrated coaching and leadership skills
Ability to work independently, organizing and prioritizing tasks to meet deadlines with minimal supervision
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
Collaborate with employers to develop and implement effective work accommodations
Maintain accurate documentation and a work logbook
Manage cases of workplace participants, including providing ongoing feedback, adapting tasks, and monitoring participant well-being and performance.
Identify areas for skill development to enhance employability
Meet daily, weekly, and monthly reporting requirements
