Our Model

Technology North's employment model is thoughtfully designed to support individuals on the autism spectrum, particularly those who may face challenges with verbal communication and self-advocacy in the workplace. A key feature of this model is the inclusion of a trusted support person—such as a family member, close friend, or guardian — who accompanies each employee on their professional journey with Technology North. The support person is expected to be available for scheduled meetings which would include the employee and Job Coach. This ensures ongoing open communication and provides a reliable way to address any potential challenges, communication barriers or obstacles. The support person’s involvement is not part of the employee's daily work routine. Only by fostering a stable, effective, friendly, and supportive work environment, can we create a sustainable and mutually beneficial outcome for all parties.

Our goal is to cultivate a workplace where every employee feels empowered, supported, and heard, driving success for both the individual and the business.

This model reflects the resources and support systems we have in place as a private business to meet  the unique needs of our employees, business operation, and our innovation in inclusion framework.
